Dirty filthy men's restroom. Toilet full, stopped, smelly. Urinal low water pressure. Multiple flushes didn't alleviate. The surveillance signs out front give this place a sketchy feel. My main reason for patronizing this place today was because the chain offers free Veterans Day meals. Today isn't the holiday, but I like to bring business to such places. Hence the only reason for the second star. Waitresses nice enough, employee longevity reportedly high based on listening to other waitresses talk to others. The only male employee, presumably the one to clean the men's restroom, looked skiddish.

It was extremely busy, and the place is in dispirit need of a remodel. It was very dirty, I am surprised we stayed. Our server was great, cool calm and collected. She was busy but never rushed us. The food was surprisingly good. A classic breakfast with eggs and bacon. Everything was hot and fast. I will go back.....after a remodel

its dennys so the food is edible/good/usually not fucked up. the inside is probably cleaned once a week etc. if youre shit faced and dont mind waiting for like 45 minutes while you drunkily play with all the shit on the table then go for this cause thats all i ever do it seriously takes 30 mins for them to even get you a damn drink also good for people watching at like 3-5am when weird dudes awkwardly buy the prostitutes grand slams p.p.s there is a wafflehouse down the street on 54th. so if you read this review (and the others cause they look bad too) atleast i have given you a closer option without you re yelping/going too far out of your way

We got seated at 11:10 am. At 12:00 our waitress, Sam, (who was very nice and attentive) let us know it will probably be another 30 minutes due to them being understaffed. We were fine with waiting an hour+ for our meal, but asked to speak with the manager. The manager (I would mention his name but he didnt introduce himself; older gentleman, had shaggy hair with glasses) came to our table, leaned in and said very nonchalantly "hey, we're under staffed, the food will get out when it does...*shrug* nothing I can do." He proceeded to walk away and continue to shrug, not even caring or apologizing about our hour+ wait. We immediately left. We probably would have stayed if it was apparent our patronage actually meant something to the manager. We will NOT be returning to this location.

I never waited so long for service. It was almost an insult. Waitress excused herself but honestly the place was not busy, so there was no real reason other than she just was slow. Thanks to the manager who made an adjustment to the bill to compensate for the inconvenience. Food taste good.

This place is disgusting, even for Dennys. Smells like an old gym bag you found from 2 years ago...I'm sitting here waiting to order and as I'm looking out the window I notice the 5 toothpicks laying used in the window sill...Also there is a dust filled a/c intake right above a table with the vent grate missing, not sure why the health inspector or manager for that matter hasn't noticed it. Server was nice, but not very good at keeping an eye on her table. Sat for nearly 10 minutes waiting for her to smoke a cigarette to get a refill. Food was typical for Dennys, not bad at all but average. Only ate here because I didn't have time to go elsewhere before an appointment. I won't be back unless it's torn down and rebuilt.

Service today was quick! The food was hot and really good. The store is busy on this Memorial Day but service by Jennifer is quick anyways. I recommend this place and will stop by again.

I dropped by Denny's this morning while waiting to have my oil changed at nissan two buildings down. I come here only because it's convenient and not because of the food. Though the servers are great here, food comes out quick but the quality of the food is not so good - which you can't really blame them since the menu prices are so cheap. I had biscuits and gravy and something about it just didn't sit well with me. It just tasted like mush without enough spice or sausages. Any way there are better breakfast places in the area, I wouldn't recommend this place for out of towners, I'd only come here as a last resort since there aren't many breakfast places on this road.

Showed up around 11 for brunch, few people there. Walked in and stood in front of empty counter waiting to be greeted, as moments turned to over a minute a guy walking out said they were all on break as he smiled past. Just then a reserved waitress appears and leads me to a booth with a panoramic street view facing west, then hands me two menus. Seconds later a friendly waitress with a charming accent named Rachel appears, tells me what they have to drink. Coffee, please, which was reloaded twice. When she reappears about two minutes later I ask for the senior menu I had seen at another Denny's, she points out it's on the last page, silly me. Ordered the breakfast with eggs and cheese, which includes two scrambled eggs with cheese plus four sausage links and two gigantic pancakes. This combo appeared about five minutes later and kept me stuffed for hours. She twice more came by asking if everything was all right, I'm giving her an A+ on customer service. Restroom was clean and well-stocked. Sadly that panoramic street view was marred by dirty and fingerprinted glass inside and out, somebody PLEASE clean it. This was the low point on an otherwise pleasant visit.

This is consistently one of the top Denny's I've ever been to. Service is usually very good (especially if you have Mark; amazing server) and food is very good too, which is puzzling given the fact that it is a Denny's. I've only had breakfast there, but everything from the bacon, to the eggs, to the French toast and pancakes are excellent. The place is packed weekend mornings, so apparently I'm not the only one with a high opinion. It even has a banquet room for those special occasions!

It's a Denny's next to a cheap motel and across the road from a liquor store. This place has definitively seen better days. However, the staff were friendly. I was starving after a long drive and the food was adequate. I ordered the pot roast and mashed potatoes (one of the most expensive things on the menu). It was all served on top of a large chunk of toasted bread, which constituted substantial filler for the portion size. It was okay, I was just disappointed most of it was bread and not meat or potatoes.

I've always liked Denny's Restaurant, but I've gone here in the past and the restaurant is just dirty looking. The carpet is so badly stained, it has a smell as soon as you enter in the dining room. It's been about a year, since I mentioned to the hostess about the smell and carpet. Even one time when we went there they had a flood and the smell was so unbearable back then we were told the owner was in the process of replacing the carpet. Nothing happened so we quit going and drove to another Denny's about 20 minutes away. We decided to go back today thinking it's been a year, they must have replaced the carpet by now. WRONG!!!! The smell and the carpet is still there. The smell is probably from mold, mildew, and bacteria that has grown underneath the carpet. The windows in the Restaurant are filthy! I mentioned the smell again to the hostess and she said she could smell the odor, but she's only been there for 2 weeks and wasn't aware the owner was going to replace the carpet. Okay, let's move onto the food. The Coffee was pretty bitter! I had the Grand Slam Slugger, because I pretty hunger and besides it comes with the coffee and juice all for 8.00. Well, I got the hash browns and they were greasy and soggy, I should've got grits. Everything else was okay, but nothing to write home about. I won't be back or eat there until I know they've changed the carpet.

Kinda in the mood for breakfast and it was local. All I have to say is Denny's is not what is used to be. Unless its unavoidable I will stay away from this run of the mill eatery. On the plus side David our server was very friendly , just wish the food was as friendly to me....

Went here when we couldn't think of another place to go. They still have good food. Though have gone up in price since the last time I stepped foot in a Denny's. Unfortunately, we went there for dinner and....still just Denny's lack luster staff, mediocre food, and you leave with this feeling that there was suppose to be something else. Breakfast was good but honestly I only went here because I could not get into Kizzin' Cuzzins. It is not a bad restaurant not at all. Just....well Denny's.....still for the most part good food and plenty of seating.

Strange - a former review has been removed evidently. Once again I'll say it - this Northside St. Petersburg location definitley could use some advice from the Southside St. Pete. location. Service was hampered by a war raging between chef and waitresses when my wife and I last visited this Dennys. The restroom smelled like sewer and the carpet throughout looked very dirty and had an odor. My wife and I decided to go to the Southside Dennys and have been going there ever since because their service personell are top-notch, friendly and happy. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. The difference is as relative as night to day. I will go to the Northside Dennys and inspect their facility for improvement just to be fair. But if nothing has improved you can bet I'll submit another unfavorable comment.

We sat down and ordered drinks then placed our order. We waited 25 minutes for our simple egg breakfast. We finished our beverages and the food still wasn't there so we got up to leave, when we were passing the hostess station they asked us if there was a problem and we told them it how long it had been since we ordered our food and it still wasn't ready so we just left. This is not the first time that we have had to wait a very long time for service and we will never go back again.
